The BBC is a world-leading media company across many content genres and formats. In the start of 2023, BBC Studios contracted a presentation deck project in an effort to express just how powerful and engaging the organization could be. In their own words, they wanted a refreshed template that felt "cool, exciting, and inspiring!" Challenge accepted!
THE OBJECTIVE:
Unify the existing presentation decks so that teams across Marketing, Sales, Product, Partnerships, Insights, and more have a consistent, functional template to leverage for their presentation needs. The final template should feel less corporate, and instead, it should represent the high level of design language that BBC Studios strives to achieve.

THE PROCESS:
To begin, we audited a collection of decks from BBC Studios staff members of varying skill levels to better assess what was in circulation at the time. It was important to identify the tools and methods that were being used, as well as any pain points that could be solved. We then collaborated with stakeholders through three rounds of revisions until we solidified the new design.

The final presentation template is design-forward, elevated, and premium, with a focus on typographic and image hierarchy. It aligns with the newly created visual identity and brand guidelines and it eliminated the other cumbersome versions of presentations that were being used. The template provides a solid foundation and starting point for staff to leverage for internal presentations across the organization and to external partners.
